What can professional blogs do for business and organizations?
Another use for professional blogs is to distribute informations from companies to investors, customers, departments or even individual employees. Companies wishing to distribute training materials to their employees may choose to post it to a company blog.
However you look at bloging, it is here to stay, and for companies or individuals who learn to use this information tool effectively it will give them a great advantage over those who don't choose to utilize it.

I would have to agree with Tony. Blogging has become so interactive and attractive that for many people and businesses blogs can effectively replace websites. In an article on about.com "How to Blog" posted by Randy Duermyer, He states that for small businesses, blogging as a website is a cheap and effective alternative to hosting an actual website. Search engines tend to show blog content before website content so your information may get seen before others in a businesses market, and blogging allows more interaction between businesses and consumers that most websites don't offer unless they have a blogging platform built into it.
ReplyDeleteOverall blogging is in fact here to stay. In many cases it many be replacing websites as we know them. More websites recently are having blogs and links to their blogs as their primary focus of their webpage, or at least an option. I feel, however, that the future of the internet will be a mix of the two. Every business website will integrate blogging and every blog will need a website to advertise the products or services they are discussing. Those business that fail to use blogs period will unfortunately fall to the wayside. Out with the old, in with the new.
I completely agree on the fact that corporations and individuals that learn how to blog will gain a great advantage in this competitive environment. Bloggin, like Tony said, is maybe the cheapest way for corporations and people to communicate important information, like new products, FAQs about products etc. It is then obvious to see that since blogging is cheap, it will cut in the corporation's expenses, and cutting expenses is basically what all managers are looking for nowadays.
